Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire resides in a sleepy part of Montreal Island called West Island. The West Island can be confusing to people unfamiliar to its significance. It is often believed that it is an island that lies west of Montreal However, it is actually a part of the city. West Island encompasses everything between the two cities in Lachine as well as West. Amanda Brugel was born there, but her time in the city wasn't long. Brugel was raised on Courtice close to Oshawa within Ontario. The first goal she had was to become a dancer. Then, a growth increase caused her to surpass every dance partner she was able to have. The article she wrote about her experience revealed that was published in the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. When I reached the height of my male counterparts then I stopped. Some former dancers switch to acting, and in the case of Brugel, it was the nudge of the drama instructor at her high school who encouraged her to go in that direction. Teacher who recommended she try getting a part in the the school's annual show. It was her choice to take on the principal part for Anne of Green Gables after she tried out. A Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she was a theatre student and earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in the year 2000. Over the last 20 years, Brugel's work has been seen on both the small and large screen. She gained the most fame when she was offered the character of Rita in the award-winning television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character Rita in The Handmaid's Tale, a series that was produced over the course of ten years.
